  • Location data inferred from your IP address;
  • This data is collected through standard server logs and tools like cookies;

We don't collect sensitive personal information (race, health, religion, etc.), and we don't buy or receive data from third parties.

How we use it

We use your data to:

  • Improve our website;
  • Respond to your enquiries;
  • Understand how people use our site (analytics);
  • Comply with legal obligations;

Legal basis (EU/UK)

If you're in the EU or UK, we process your data under the following GDPR bases:

  • Consent: when you've given us permission;
  • Legitimate interests: to improve our services, in ways that don't override your rights;
  • Legal obligations: when required by law;

In Canada, we rely on express or implied consent, or applicable exceptions under Canadian privacy law.

Who we share it with

We share data with:

  • Service providers bound by contracts that require them to protect your data;

We may also transfer data in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets.

We have not sold personal information to any third party in the past 12 months.

International transfers

Our servers are in the Netherlands. Some of our service providers are based in the US or elsewhere. Where data leaves the EU/UK, we use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent safeguards) to keep your information protected.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar tools (pixels, web beacons) for security, performance, and analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling them may affect how the site works.

For more detail, see our Cookie Notice.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as necessary. Contact information (Category B) is retained for up to 1 year. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Security

We use standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data. That said, no internet transmission is 100% secure. If you have concerns, you're always welcome to reach out.

Children

We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we've received information from a minor, please contact us at info@v-a.studio and we'll delete it promptly.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct or delete your data;
  • Restrict or object to how we process it;
  • Receive a copy of your data (portability);
  • Withdraw your consent at any time;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising or profiling;

EU/UK residents can also file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Swiss residents can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
US residents (CA, CO, TX, FL, and others) have additional rights under applicable state laws — see below.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@v-a.studio or submit a data subject access request.

US state privacy rights

If you're a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, or another US state with applicable privacy laws, you have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising or data sales.

To submit a request, email info@v-a.studio. We'll verify your identity and respond in line with applicable law. You may also designate an authorised agent to act on your behalf.

If we decline your request, you can appeal by emailing us. If the appeal is denied, you may escalate to your state's attorney general.

California "Shine the Light": California residents may request a list of any third parties we've shared personal data with for direct marketing purposes. Email us to make this request (free, once per year).

Do Not Track: We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals, as no universal standard exists. We'll update this policy if that changes.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll note the revision date at the top and notify you of material changes.
