Starting Point
Tasmeem Doha is an international art and design biennial, hosted by VCUarts Qatar since 2004. Each edition of Tasmeem explores a contemporary theme through experimental formats, cross-disciplinary engagement, and critical discussions.
We were invited by the Faculty to work on the visual identity design and website.
Solution & Impact
The theme demanded a visual language that felt both urgent and poetic, one that could hold radical ideas from across cultures without flattening them into a generic vision of the future.
We built an identity around vibrance and movement. Traditional visual symbolisms were woven into a contemporary graphic system: geometric forms, layered patterns, a palette that felt ceremonial and electric at the same time. The result was a visual vocabulary that belonged somewhere, rather than everywhere.
For the digital experience, we pushed further. The website became an interactive environment, with 3D elements and animated sequences which made content discovery feel immersive.
We delivered the full identity system, from guidelines and event signage to the digital platform, creating a coherent experience across every touchpoint. The identity resonated well beyond the walls of VCUarts Qatar, helping build an engaged community inside and outside the faculty.
