Planetary SensingNavigations Below the Surface

Planetary sensing is an artistic research project and our latest collaboration with Susanne M. Winterling. It is a collection of texts and videos by a diverse group, including philosophers, social scientists, marine biologists, quantum physicists, and others.

The page design is inspired by the phenomenon of bioluminescent algae found in some waters around the world. These algae light up naturally, creating beautiful and almost magical waves.

We’ve represented this with an “interactive point cloud”. This is a full 3D navigation, where visitors can move around a map where markers show the articles.
