Yasmina Makram is a leading interior architecture and design studio in Cairo. Their work blends a combination of inspirations, from Cairo's history to lifestyle. After 5 years of activity, the studio needed a brand restructuring to connect with its niche audience. Their international audience is demanding, looking for luxury, quality and unique ideas. The studio needed to elevate its perception into a premium heritage brand.
We joined their team to develop a new brand strategy, with a full visual identity. We designed a timeless logo, a monogram, and a minimal identity system to identify the studio.
The new identity had a profound effect. Its use on social networks, printed pieces, and signage was the foundation for an online and offline communication plan. Yasmina Makram Studio is today considered by the Architectural Digest one of the "50 brightest talents in architecture and design in the Middle East".
One key touchpoint we addressed was the website, which needed to work as a project portfolio and an online shop.
We created an immersive experience using the modern Next.js framework. The web shop connects to Shopify via API, allowing a custom shopping experience, unconstrained by Shopify's themes.
